Marco Mendes (1978, Figueira da Foz)
O meu trabalho divide-se pela pintura, desenho e banda desenhada, geralmente de conteúdo autobiográfico. Sou professor, tendo já leccionado em diversas instituições de ensino superior, na zona norte do país. Actualmente, lecciono no Mestrado em Ilustração Edição e Impressão da Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto e na licenciatura em Banda Desenhada e Narrativas Gráficas da Escola Superior Artística do Porto. Sou membro fundador do Clube de Desenho, a funcionar no Porto desde 2010. Sou autor de vários livros de banda desenhada e co-editor em diversas publicações.
Marco Mendes (b. 1978, Figueira da Foz, Portugal)
My work evolves around painting, drawing, and comics, usually with autobiographical content. I have taught at various institutions in the north of Portugal. Currently, I teach in the Master’s in Illustration, Editing, and Printing program at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP) and in the Degree in Comics and Graphic Storytelling at the Porto School of Arts (ESAP). I am also a founding member of the Drawing Club (Clube de Desenho), active in Porto since 2010. I am the author of several comic books and co-editor in various publications.
